Xavier’s Institute hums with energy in Marvel Snap as the New X-Men stir up the card battler’s May season. This month introduces a dynamic roster, including the cunning Esme Cuckoo, the electrifying Surge, and the tactical Prodigy, all poised to reshape the game’s meta.
The season pass kicks off with Esme Cuckoo, a telepathic clone of Emma Frost who plays by her own rules. Her On Reveal ability draws a card from your deck, sets its cost to three with four Power, and delivers it like a psychic wildcard ready to disrupt your strategy.
Esme is only the beginning. Each week, a new Series 5 mutant enters the card pool, bringing fresh mechanics like cost tweaks, card duplication, and revival effects. Look out for Surge, Prodigy, Elixir, and Xorn, with Captain Carter’s seasonal pack also returning for those who missed it.
This month’s new locations add intense twists. Pit of Exile blocks high-power strategies, demanding tighter decks and sharper timing. Genosha, meanwhile, sparks endgame chaos by clearing all but your priciest card at the final turn, shaking up familiar builds.
