Phase 10 Rules:

A phase is a combination of cards, typically sets (same value), runs (consecutive ascending order), same-colored cards, or a mix. There are ten phases to complete:

The game begins with each player receiving ten cards, face down.

Phase Completion:

• Phases must be completed sequentially (1 through 10).
• A complete phase must be in hand before being laid down.
• Players can lay down more than the minimum required cards, but only if directly added to an existing phase.
• Only one phase can be completed per turn.
• Failure to complete a phase requires attempting the same phase on the next turn.
• Credit for completing a phase is awarded upon laying it down, regardless of winning the round. Multiple players can often complete phases in the same round.
• Players with a completed phase in hand are not required to lay it down, but must still discard a card.

Ending a Round:

After completing a phase, players must attempt to play out remaining cards. Remember: always draw one card at the beginning and discard one at the end of your turn.

Scoring:

Once a player completes their phase and discards their last card, the round ends. Players tally the value of their remaining cards:

• 5 points per card valued 1-9.
• 10 points per card valued 10-12.
• 15 points per Skip card.
• 25 points per Wild card.

The lowest score wins.

Winning the Game:

If only one player attempts Phase 10 and completes it, they win. If multiple players complete phases simultaneously, the player with the lowest total score after completing Phase 10 wins. Ties result in a replay of Phase 10, with the first player to complete it and discard all cards declared the winner.
