Tsujimoto highlighted several narrative innovations, including:
- Deepened character arcs for both veteran and new hunters.
- Voice acting in multiple languages, with performances tailored to each character’s culture and personality.
- A richly layered lore system that unfolds through environmental storytelling, journals, and side quests.
But beyond storytelling, the producer credited crossplay functionality as a key driver of the game’s widespread appeal.
