Two Frogs, the indie studio from Nantes, France, is preparing a significant update for Back 2 Back, slated for June. Dubbed The Big Update 2.0, it builds on the game’s Fall 2024 Android launch, enhancing multiple aspects of the experience.
What’s New in the Back 2 Back Update
Vehicles are getting an upgrade. The update introduces three unlockable levels for each car, along with fresh features. Players can equip cars to resist lava or gain an extra life for added resilience.
Boosters are also coming to Back 2 Back, containing collectible stickers. These allow players to personalize their vehicles with unique designs.
A new map, inspired by the sunny summer atmosphere of Nantes, will debut. The developers note its summer theme may feel nostalgic post-season, hinting at future seasonal content.
What Is Back 2 Back?
For those new to Back 2 Back, it’s a couch co-op game where two players control one car using separate phones—one steers, the other shoots—while evading relentless robots.
Survival hinges on strategic role-switching and quick coordination. With intuitive gyro steering and tap-to-shoot controls, the game grows increasingly intense. It’s free to play on the Google Play Store.
