Aang Avatar Movie Gets New Logo as Paramount Delays It to October 2026

By AvaMay 25,2025

Paramount Pictures has announced significant shifts in its movie release calendar, resulting in delays for two eagerly awaited Nickelodeon films: The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 2. These changes mean fans will have to wait a bit longer than initially planned to see these movies on the big screen.

According to Variety, the highly anticipated The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender, focused on the beloved Avatar character, will no longer premiere on January 30, 2026. Instead, it is now set to debut on October 9, 2026. This delay pushes the release nearly nine months later than previously expected. This marks the second delay for the film, which was originally slated for October 10, 2025. No specific reason for the latest delay has been disclosed, but the confirmed voice cast, including Steven Yeun, Dave Bautista, and Eric Nam, remains attached to the project. The movie, which received its official title at last month's CinemaCon, will delve into Aang's story years after the series concluded and is the first of three planned movies in this universe. Fans can catch a glimpse of the new logo for the film below.

Similarly, the release of the sequel to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, which was announced shortly before the first film's premiere in 2023, has also been postponed. Initially set for October 9, 2026, the movie will now hit theaters on September 17, 2027. This delay adds nearly a year to the wait for fans eager to see how the story of Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo unfolds following the tantalizing mid-credits scene from the first film. While details about the plot and cast remain under wraps, fans can tide themselves over with the Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series in the meantime.
