Last month, Tencent and Level Infinite made the announcement that they will be discontinuing the live services of Alchemy Stars. Initially launched in June 2021 on mobile platforms, Alchemy Stars will transition to an offline version. This means that after the official shutdown, players will still have the opportunity to relive the game's story.
When Is the Game Wrapping Up Its Services?
Alchemy Stars will cease its live service operations on January 24th, 2025. In preparation for the transition to an offline version, a maintenance window is scheduled for January 10th from 4:00 to 9:00 GMT, during which version 1.43.0 will be released. It's crucial to update your game post-maintenance to enable the local data save feature, which is your only chance to preserve your progress. You'll find a data save button on the main page. Simply tap it to access a page where you can save your user data.
You have the option to save your data multiple times, but this feature will only be available until January 24th at 4:00 GMT. Post this deadline, any unsaved data will be lost permanently.
Once Alchemy Stars shifts to its special offline edition, there will be no further updates. Importantly, if you delete the app, you won't be able to download it again, as reinstalling will not be an option. The offline version will allow you to explore your saved data, play through the story, and upgrade your units.
Having an offline version certainly beats a complete shutdown, don't you agree? Make sure to prepare for the offline version and download the game from the Google Play Store before it's no longer available.
