Pokémon GO enthusiasts, get ready for the Sweet Discoveries event, which promises to be a delightful addition to your Pokémon adventures. This special event introduces the adorable Applin, a must-have for collectors and shiny hunters alike. Dive in to discover everything you need to know about this exciting event.
When Is Applin Debuting in Pokémon GO?
Mark your calendars! The Sweet Discoveries event kicks off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and continues until April 29th at 8:00 p.m. The highlight of this event is undoubtedly the debut of Applin, a Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon hailing from the Galar region.
To evolve Applin into Flapple, you'll need 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. Alternatively, you can evolve it into Appletun with 200 candies and 20 Sweet Apples. For its final evolution to Dipplin, and ultimately to Hydrapple, gather the required resources diligently.
Here’s the scoop on the Apples: They're crucial for Applin's evolution and will appear in the wild. Tapping on them might reward you with a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. Your chances of encountering Apples increase around Mossy Lure Modules, so be sure to use them strategically.
Did You Know?
Applin is unique in that it spends its entire life inside an apple, cleverly disguising itself as fruit to evade its natural predators, bird Pokémon. This makes Applin one of the most endearing Pokémon in the entire Pokémon GO roster.
During the Sweet Discoveries event, new avatar items will be available in the shop, including an Applin Headband and an Applin Apron. Additionally, event bonuses include 2× Candy for catching Pokémon, making it a great time to stock up on resources.
Keep an eye out for Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet, which will have increased spawn rates in the wild. There's also a higher chance of hatching Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs.
Another sweet feature of the event is the berry drops. Catching Delibird or Skwovet will reward you with berries, adding a tasty twist to your gameplay. If you haven't already, download Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store to join in on the fun.
