Ubisoft has revealed its first-year post-launch roadmap for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, outlining planned additions including New Game+, expanded difficulty options, story expansions, and quality-of-life improvements.
The publisher shared these plans through a 4.5-minute roadmap video detailing scheduled updates through 2025. The timeline includes specific content drops for May and June as developers aim to maintain player engagement with regular free updates.

The update cycle begins in early May with The Works of Luis Frois, the first free narrative expansion, arriving alongside a Codex update and gameplay refinements. Significant mobility enhancements and photo mode improvements will also deploy next month as part of Ubisoft's commitment to community feedback.
"Player input has guided our development priorities from the beginning, and that philosophy continues post-launch," explained community developer Daniel St. Germain in the announcement. "We'll deliver consistent updates packed with meaningful additions and refinements based on player requests, alongside ongoing technical improvements across all platforms."
June brings another story expansion along with heightened difficulty options, immersive gameplay settings, an open-world alert system, and toggleable cutscene headgear. While these fulfill immediate player requests, additional features including New Game+, further narrative content, and special events remain planned for later releases.
The roadmap's centerpiece is the Claws of Awaji DLC expansion launching later this year. This premium content introduces the Bo staff weapon and a new explorable region, offering approximately 10 hours of additional gameplay for protagonists Naoe and Yasuke. Pricing remains unannounced, though pre-order customers will receive automatic access.
