To embark on your fishing adventure in Monster Hunter Wilds, you'll need to meet Kanya at the Forest Base Camp in the Scarlet Forest, which becomes accessible during Chapter 1. You'll find her by a pond, engaged in her own fishing escapade. After a chat with her, she'll equip you with a fishing rod and the Common Wood Minnow lure, kicking off the ‘Fishing: Life, in Microcosm’ sidequest. This is just the beginning of a series of fishing quests that will unlock a variety of bait lures, helping you snag the rarest fish in the game.
