ETE Chronicle:Re JP Server Pre-Registration is Open! Prepare for airborne, aquatic, and land-based action alongside a squad of powerful female characters.
The original Japanese release of ETE Chronicle met with mixed reviews due to its unexpected turn-based gameplay, diverging from anticipated mecha action. However, the developers have completely overhauled the game for its Chinese release, creating a true action title. This revamped version, ETE Chronicle:Re, will replace the original Japanese version, with player purchases from the original carrying over.
A World in Ruins: The Story
ETE Chronicle:Re plunges you into a chaotic future where humanity fights for survival. The Yggdrasil Corporation, utilizing technology derived from extraterrestrial remnants, created the Galar exoskeleton and the Tenkyu orbital base, transforming Earth into a battlefield.
The surviving humans formed the Humanity Alliance, their secret weapon: female pilots of advanced E.T.E. combat machines. As an enforcer, you'll lead these pilots, with your decisions impacting both battles and the characters' fates.
Fast-Paced Action: Gameplay
Commanding four characters simultaneously, ETE Chronicle:Re demands quick thinking and even faster reflexes. Its semi-real-time battle system requires constant strategic adaptation amidst enemy fire.
Concerns Remain: Addressing Past Issues
Some players remain skeptical, citing repetitive gameplay in the original. Concerns include the monotonous "run and gun" loop with enemies maintaining a fixed distance, preventing flanking maneuvers, and the lack of individual character control, leading to repetitive battles. Whether ETE Chronicle:Re successfully addresses these issues remains to be seen.
