The excitement for this upcoming set has been building ever since its announcement, further fueled by a new trailer that has amped up the anticipation. The singles market is reflecting this hype, with the borderless version of Cloud, Midgar Mercenary, currently priced at $147.23, and the Surge Foil version reaching a staggering $599, making it the most expensive card in the set.

For those who have already preordered or are searching for rare singles, several standout cards are worth watching in the coming weeks. The borderless Kefka, Court Mage, showcased in the new MTG teaser trailer from PAX East and illustrated by the renowned Final Fantasy artist Yoshitaka Amano, is one such highlight.

TCG Player is an excellent resource for finding a wide array of single cards to enhance your deck without relying on booster pack luck. It's also useful for tracking the value of your cards once the new set is released. If you pull any Surge Foil cards from your booster packs, you might find yourself sitting on a valuable asset, although prices can fluctuate as the release date approaches.

Other notable cards to look out for include the Cloud, Ex-Soldier Commander card, currently priced at $45.99, due to its ability to equip other creatures effectively. The full-art Yuffie Kisaragi - Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow, is also highly sought after at just under $100, thanks to its utility as a Commander and its unique artwork reminiscent of the classic Final Fantasy VII style.

The Traveling Chocobo card, which even had its own teaser trailer featuring a limited edition Gold Chocobo, commands a high price in its borderless version at $169.98, with the standard version at $114.97.

While seeking out the rarest cards can be costly, TCG Player also offers many singles at more affordable prices, such as Sazh's Chocobo for $1.96, Tonberry for $2.49, Summon: Shiva for $1.56, and Gladiolus Amicitia for just 33 cents.

TCG Player is also hosting preorders for select Final Fantasy booster sets, though at prices above MSRP. The nine-booster Final Fantasy bundle (plus bonus cards) is available for $87.99, while the 30-pack Play Booster Display box is listed at $164.99, both plus shipping. Single sealed boosters can be purchased for $7.99 each, plus shipping.

For those preordering the Starter Kit, it's important to note that each deck is preconstructed and does not include boosters to open. Instead, you get one traditional foil legendary creature, five brand-new non-foil cards exclusive to Magic, and 54 cards from the main set. The kit also includes four non-foil double-sided tokens, two MTG Arena code cards (one per deck), and two deck boxes, providing excellent value for the $20 price tag.

For new Magic: The Gathering players, the Arena code cards are particularly valuable, allowing you to redeem both decks for online play. This feature enables you to learn the game at your own pace through AI matches or engage in competitive play.
