Developer Mūn Mūn Games has unveiled Out Fishing, a first-person fishing simulator that appears gentle and straightforward. Its name alone evokes a sense of cozy, relaxing gameplay—and indeed, that’s exactly what it offers during daylight hours. But as dusk falls in the game, the atmosphere shifts into something much darker, transforming the experience into a horror adventure. The title is currently in development for PC.
Here’s how the creators describe the experience: "Venture into a tranquil yet eerily isolated wilderness. Seek out elusive fish and uncover scattered traces of a forgotten past. With time as your adversary, every step forward brings you closer to uncovering the truth. Catch fish, sell your haul, improve your equipment, and fortify your camp—a fragile refuge where reality and illusion slowly intertwine."

A dynamic day-night cycle introduces unpredictable weather patterns that alter both the environment and the types of fish you can catch. As you progress, you'll be able to enhance your gear and refine your fishing techniques—even acquiring unique vehicles. You’ll also build and sustain your own camp from the ground up. Out Fishing dares you to "reel in something that was never meant to be discovered." If the premise intrigues you, add it to your Steam wishlist today.
