Fortnite Reintroduces Reload Mode with Classic Guns and Iconic Maps

Fortnite enthusiasts, get ready for a blast from the past with a modern twist—the new Reload mode is here! This mode crams 40 players into a compact map, reviving iconic locations from previous seasons, like Tilted Towers and Retail Row. It’s a nostalgic ride that promises intense action and thrilling comebacks.

What’s In Store In The Reload Mode Of Fortnite?

Curious about what this mode entails? Reload mode is all about squad survival. As long as one member of your squad remains, there's hope for a comeback. But beware, a total squad wipe means it's game over—no second chances. Whether you prefer Battle Royale or Zero Build, this mode challenges you to be the last squad standing.

Set on a smaller island, the Reload mode brings back beloved spots and ditches drivable vehicles. Instead, it's packed with a variety of unvaulted loot, including classics like the Revolver, Tactical Shotgun, Lever Action Shotgun, Rocket Launcher, and Grappler. Victory Crowns are still up for grabs, and when rebooted, you'll respawn with a common Assault Rifle and some wood if you're in Build mode. The action intensifies with the Reboot Timer, starting at 30 seconds and increasing to 40 as the match progresses. You and your teammates can shorten this time by taking down opponents. If you're eliminated, you have the option to start your reboot immediately.

When You Get Eliminated

Elimination in Reload mode adds a strategic layer to the gameplay. Upon being taken out, you'll drop Small Shield Potions, various ammo types, and 50 units of each building material in Build mode, ensuring the battle remains fierce and resource-rich.

The Fortnite Reload mode also introduces exciting intro quests that offer substantial XP boosts. Complete three quests to earn the Digital Dogfight Contrail, six for the Pool Cubes Wrap, and nine to secure the NaNa Bath Back Bling. Achieve a Victory Royale, and you'll unlock the exclusive Rezzbrella Glider.
