The announcement at Star Wars Celebration that Hayden Christensen will reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker in Season 2 of Ahsoka has thrilled fans. During the Ahsoka panel at the celebration, Christensen shared his enthusiasm about returning to the iconic role. "It was a dream to get to do," he remarked, praising the creative approach of using the World Between Worlds to bring Anakin back. "I thought it was all really exciting."
Ahsoka's creator, Dave Filoni, humorously noted the lengths he went to collaborate with Christensen again, saying, "I had to invent entire dimensions to make it happen."
Christensen also delved into discussions about Anakin's activities during the Clone Wars, expressing his excitement about portraying these aspects in live-action. "As much as I love the traditional Jedi robes I wore during the prequels, it was exciting to get to see Anakin with a new look," he shared.
Further into the panel, Filoni discussed how their mutual experiences working with George Lucas helped shape their approach to bringing Anakin back. This collaboration allowed them to enhance the character's portrayal by filling in each other's knowledge gaps."I always have George's voice in the back of my head saying, 'faster, more intense!'" Christensen added, reflecting on Lucas's influence.
