The official synopsis sets the stage: Five years post-Jurassic World Dominion, the world's ecology has largely rejected dinosaurs, confining the survivors to equatorial zones that mirror their ancient habitats. Within this tropical environment, the largest creatures on land, sea, and air harbor a secret in their DNA—a key to a revolutionary drug that could transform human medicine.
Academy Award nominee Scarlett Johansson stars as Zora Bennett, a skilled covert operations expert tasked with leading a team to extract this vital genetic material. Their mission takes an unexpected turn when they encounter a civilian family whose boat was attacked by marauding aquatic dinosaurs, stranding them all on a forbidden island once used as a secret Jurassic Park research facility. Amidst a diverse array of dinosaurs, they uncover a sinister and shocking secret hidden for decades.
The final trailer highlights several key scenes, including a river raft sequence inspired by Michael Crichton's original Jurassic Park novel. David Koepp, re-immersing himself in Crichton’s work for this sequel, decided to incorporate elements from the novels that were previously unused. "There was a sequence from the first novel that we’d always wanted in the original movie, but didn’t have room for," Koepp revealed. "We were like, ‘Hey, we get to use that now.’"

The trailer also introduces new dinosaurs and offers a closer look at the ‘D-Rex,’ officially named Distortus Rex. This mutant dinosaur, a blend of a T-Rex and a Star Wars Rancor, was described by director Gareth Edwards as "kind of like if the T-Rex was designed by H.R. Giger, and then that whole thing had sex with a Rancor."

Additionally, the trailer features winged Mutadons, described by Koepp as "a combination of a pterosaur and a Raptor."
