LEGO Unveils 3-Foot Jurassic Park T-Rex Skeleton Set

LEGO has unveiled its most ambitious Jurassic World set to date: a colossal T-rex skeleton that stretches over three feet in length. This impressive set comes with minifigures of Dr. Ellie Sattler and Dr. Alan Grant, iconic characters from the original Jurassic Park film, where the skeleton is famously featured in the visitor center. Priced at $249.99, the set will be available for purchase at the LEGO Store starting March 12 for LEGO Insiders (sign up for free here) and March 15 for everyone else.

This set may incorporate advanced building techniques, which could challenge younger builders.

While pictures may not fully convey the scale, the inclusion of Dr. Grant and Dr. Sattler minifigures helps to put things into perspective. Once assembled, the skeleton measures an impressive 105cm (41.3 inches) in length and 33cm (12.9 inches) in height. The skull design mirrors the previously released LEGO T-rex skull, which has received positive feedback from builders, including my son who enjoyed constructing it. The full skeleton in this new set significantly enhances the overall impact.

While LEGO's Jurassic World collection may not yet rival the scale of their LEGO Star Wars or LEGO Harry Potter lines, it is expanding rapidly. As a fan, I eagerly anticipate more adult-oriented LEGO sets like this stunning T-rex skeleton to be added to the lineup in the future.
