Machop Stars in Pokémon Go May 2025 Community Day Classic

As Pokémon Go brings the Might and Mastery season to an epic close, the Community Day Classic returns to feature a classic powerhouse: Machop. On May 24th, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM local time, the Superpower Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild, giving you another chance to strengthen your Fighting-type lineup with a fan-favorite.

Whether you missed out on a powerful Machamp or want to hunt for that green Shiny variant, this event offers a perfect opportunity. Machop will spawn more often, and with a bit of luck, you might encounter a Shiny version.

Evolve Machoke during the event or by May 31st at 10:00 PM local time to get a Machamp that knows Payback—a Dark-type Charged Attack with 110 power in Trainer Battles and 95 power in Gyms and Raids.

For dedicated trainers, the Community Day Special Research story is available for $1.99, rewarding a Premium Battle Pass, Rare Candy XL, extra Machop encounters, and three Machop with a unique seasonal background.

Timed Research adds another reason to play. Complete tasks after the event to earn a Machop encounter with a Might and Mastery-themed Special Background and increased Shiny odds. Remember—these tasks expire on May 31st. Don’t forget to redeem these Pokémon Go codes for free rewards!
