Monster Hunter Now is gearing up for the launch of its highly anticipated Season 5: The Blossoming Blade, set to begin on March 6th, 2025. Niantic has shared all the exciting details about what players can expect from this new season, including fresh challenges, new weapons, a Season Pass, and the introduction of new monsters.
Getting Ready for Monster Hunter Now Season 5
In the lead-up to Season 5, players can look forward to a special event with the arrival of Chatacabra on February 28th. This marks its grand debut before its first appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds. Once the season officially kicks off, players will encounter Glavenus and Arzuros, adding to the game's roster of formidable foes.
The new season will also bring significant balance tweaks to weapons, aiming to make every weapon type more viable and enjoyable to use. The Sword & Shield will receive a buff that enhances its ability to target breakable parts such as tails. Additionally, the Perfect Rush Combo (SP) will now reward well-timed taps with stronger performance, leading to more satisfying combat experiences.
The Guard skill is also getting an upgrade. Previously, leveling up Guard had minimal impact, but now, higher skill levels will effectively reduce the damage taken when blocking. More detailed tweaks will be unveiled in the full patch notes on March 6th.
And There Is More!
For those struggling with inventory management, Season 5 introduces an Item Box Expansion available as a Supply Item, offering an additional 250 slots to store your gear and resources.
As part of Monster Hunter Now’s 1.5-Year Anniversary celebration on March 17th, a new feature will be introduced, allowing players to trade special materials earned from hunts and events for valuable rewards. Players can expect to exchange these materials for Item Box Expansions, Weapon Refining Parts, Armor Refining Parts, and Wyvern Gem Shards.
Prepare for the new season by downloading Monster Hunter Now from the Google Play Store and getting ready to dive into the action.
