During the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, Nintendo unveiled several exciting aspects of the system. The Nintendo Switch 2 features a larger 7.9-inch screen compared to its predecessor, yet maintains the same thickness of 13.9mm. With double the pixels, it supports a 1080p resolution in handheld mode at up to 120fps. The screen is an LCD that also supports HDR, and when docked, it can achieve up to 4K resolution with HDR.

The Joy-Con 2 controllers introduce a magnetic connection system and are detached with a release button on the back. The SL and SR buttons have been enlarged for better playability in horizontal mode, and the analog sticks on the left and right have also been increased in size. This segment also officially revealed the new mouse control support within the Joy-Con controllers.

The handheld version of the Switch 2 includes a built-in microphone with noise-canceling technology and 3D audio for compatible games. Additionally, it features a more robust and adjustable stand than the original Switch, capable of various heights. A top USB port allows for external camera connectivity or charging the system in tabletop mode.

One of the standout features is the Nintendo Switch 2's internal storage, which comes with a generous 256GB.
