Contrary to expectations, this title will not come as a pack-in with the console but will be available as a separate, paid digital download from the Nintendo eShop on the Switch 2's launch day.

During the recent Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, the company showcased the Switch 2 Welcome Tour as a "virtual exhibition" designed to familiarize players with the new hardware. Nintendo promises that through a series of tech demos, minigames, and interactive elements, users will gain a comprehensive understanding of the Nintendo Switch 2's capabilities and features.

The presentation featured a small player avatar navigating a gigantic representation of the Switch 2, uncovering information about its various attributes. The game functions as a sort of virtual museum but also includes engaging minigames such as Speed Golf, Dodge the Spiked Balls, and a Maracas Physics Demo, adding an element of fun to the educational experience.

Despite the excitement around this unique offering, fans have expressed surprise and curiosity about its status as a paid digital game rather than a complimentary inclusion with the console. As of now, the price for the Switch 2 Welcome Tour has not been disclosed.

On the launch day of the Nintendo Switch 2, set for June 5, 2025, with a starting price of $449.99 USD ($499.99 for the bundle including Mario Kart World), the console will also see the release of other titles such as Mario Kart World, Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster, and Deltarune Chapters 1 through 4.
