Path of Exile 2 Endgame: A Comprehensive Guide to Delirium Events
Path of Exile 2 introduces four major endgame events within the Atlas map: Rituals, Breaches, Expeditions, and Delirium. Delirium, a returning mechanic from previous Path of Exile leagues, is a challenging and rewarding endgame encounter. This guide details how to initiate Delirium events, navigate the Delirium Fog, access the Simulacrum Pinnacle map, utilize the Delirium Passive Skill Tree, and maximize your rewards.
Understanding the Delirium Fog Mechanic
Atlas map nodes offering guaranteed endgame events are marked with distinct icons. A Delirium Mirror node is identified by a black and white icon resembling the mirror itself. You can guarantee a Delirium event by placing a Delirium Precursor Tablet in a Lost Tower.
Within a Delirium map, locate the Delirium Mirror near your starting point. Activating it unleashes a swirling circle of Delirium Fog. This fog expands, increasing enemy difficulty as you progress. Leaving the fog ends the encounter and resets the map.
Enemies within the fog are significantly stronger but offer valuable rewards: Distilled Emotions (used in crafting) and Simulacrum Splinters (for summoning the Pinnacle Boss). Fractured Mirrors, found within the fog, trigger additional mob waves and loot. Be aware of potential encounters with the powerful bosses Kosis and Omniphobia, who can appear randomly during the event (but are not Pinnacle bosses).
The Simulacrum Pinnacle Event
Each endgame event offers items to summon a Pinnacle Boss. In Delirium, high-tier Waystones yield Simulacrum Splinters. Accumulate 300 splinters to create a Simulacrum, placing it in the Realmgate to access the 15-wave Simulacrum event. Difficulty escalates with each wave, and the chance of encountering Delirium bosses increases. Completing the Simulacrum awards two Delirium Passive Skill points.
Mastering the Delirium Passive Skill Tree
The Delirium Passive Skill Tree, located within the Atlas Passive Skill Tree (top-left button on the Atlas Map, then top-right), modifies Delirium events. It features eight Notable nodes and eight nodes increasing Simulacrum difficulty. Each Simulacrum completion provides two passive points, requiring increased difficulty for each new Notable node.
Notable Delirium Passive Nodes: A strategic approach is key. Prioritize nodes like "You Can't Just Wake Up From This One," "Get Out Of My Head!," and "They're Coming To Get You..." for substantial reward boosts without significant drawbacks.
Delirium Rewards: Distilled Emotions and More
Delirium Fog-affected enemies drop Distilled Emotions. Bosses also frequently drop these unique currencies, used to Anoint amulets with innate Notable Passive Skills. They can also modify Waystones, adding a Delirious debuff for increased mob density and power.
Simulacrum Splinters, dropped by enemies, combine to create a Simulacrum for the Pinnacle event. Completing this event rewards Delirium Passive points and a guaranteed unique item.
All PoE 2 Distilled Emotions:
Distilled Envy
Distilled Fear
Distilled Isolation
By mastering these mechanics, you can effectively navigate the Delirium endgame, maximizing your rewards and conquering the challenges it presents.
