Fabled Game Studio's highly anticipated sequel, Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage, is set to launch in 2025 across Android, iOS, Steam, and Epic Games Store. Building upon the success of its 2019 predecessor, this roguelike deck-builder promises enhanced features and a thrilling new adventure.
An open beta test is currently underway on Steam (October 25th-31st), with mobile versions following later. Before embarking on this nautical journey, let's explore the exciting changes awaiting players.
What's New in Pirates Outlaws 2?
Pirates Outlaws 2 introduces a fresh hero with a backstory set years after the original game. Players begin with pre-built decks and unique ability cards, complemented by the addition of companions, each contributing their own specialized cards.
A new fusion mechanic allows players to combine three identical cards into a more powerful version. Deck progression is handled through an evolution tree, offering customizable upgrades. Even previously discarded cards now have upgrade potential!
Relic acquisition has been revamped. Instead of finding them after every battle, relics are now discovered in markets, post-boss battles, or during special events.
Combat features a new Countdown system, influencing enemy actions. The "End Turn" button is replaced with a "ReDraw" mechanic, adding a strategic layer to battles. A new armor and shield system further enhances the gameplay experience.
