Following a minor leak last week, EA has officially unveiled the title of its upcoming Star Wars game, along with the team behind its development. The game, named Star Wars: Zero Company, is being crafted by the newly-established studio Bit Reactor, with collaborative efforts from Lucasfilm Games and Respawn.

Details about Star Wars: Zero Company are still scarce, but it's confirmed to be a single-player turn-based tactics game. Fans won't have to wait long for more information, as EA plans to offer a first glimpse at the game during Star Wars Celebration in Japan on April 19.

Bit Reactor, formed in 2022, is a strategy game studio composed of industry veterans from renowned titles like XCOM, Civilization, Gears of War, and Elder Scrolls Online. While it was previously known that Bit Reactor was collaborating with Respawn on a Star Wars project, the recent announcement marks the first time concrete details have been shared about Zero Company.

The extent of Respawn's involvement remains somewhat ambiguous. The studio has faced its share of challenges recently, including the cancellation of its own Star Wars FPS project last year, coupled with significant layoffs at EA, and the termination of another multiplayer FPS project just last month.

Further insights into Star Wars: Zero Company will be disclosed during a live panel at Star Wars Celebration on April 19 at 4:30pm local time in Japan. For fans in the U.S., this translates to an early morning reveal at 12:30am PT and 3:30am ET, so be sure to set your alarms to catch the latest updates.
