"Schedule I Update 0.3.4: New Pawn Shop, 'Fancy Stuff' Added"

By HarperMay 28,2025

Independent developer Tyler has recently released the highly anticipated 0.3.4 update for Schedule I, following a short testing period. The update, detailed in the Steam patch notes, introduces a wealth of new content to the drug dealer simulator that has taken the gaming world by storm.

Schedule I, which burst onto the scene with its early access launch on Steam on March 24, has seen phenomenal success. The 0.3.4 update marks the first major content expansion and includes new features like a functional pawn shop, a boutique store, and various wall decorations among other additions.

In a Steam post, Tyler expressed his apologies for the delay in the update's release, stating, "I'm still ironing out the update/testing process." He reassured the community that future updates would be smoother and more timely, with larger monthly updates starting next month.

Looking ahead, Tyler's primary focus is on addressing remaining bugs, which he listed as top priorities:

  • Ensuring employees function consistently and without issues.
  • Preventing save game corruption or disappearance, with plans to improve the save file format in collaboration with Valve to enhance compatibility with Steam Cloud saves and reduce corruption risks.
  • Reducing disconnections and loading issues in multiplayer.

Additionally, Tyler is working on optimization improvements and aims to achieve Steam Deck verification for Schedule I as soon as possible, using it as a performance benchmark.

Schedule I became the top-selling game on Steam at launch, surpassing big titles like Monster Hunter Wilds, GTA 5, and Marvel Rivals, fueled by its viral spread across social media, Twitch, and YouTube. In the game, players start as small-time drug dealers and work their way up to becoming kingpins, managing drug manufacturing and distribution in the gritty city of Hyland Point. Players can expand their empire by acquiring properties, businesses, and hiring employees.

Developed and published by TVGS, an Australian indie developer led by Tyler, Schedule I's explosive launch has been described as "amazing but pretty overwhelming." Tyler shared his surprise and gratitude on Reddit, saying, "I never expected this kind of response! At the moment I’m just trying to stay focused and get patches out ASAP. Also looking forward to getting started on content updates as soon as all major bugs are patched."
