Squad Busters unveils major Hero update now live

The much-anticipated new Hero update for Squad Busters is now live, promising to shake up the game's dynamics with a fresh focus on Heroes supported by squaddies. This update introduces power moves, squaddie upgrades, and a faster, more intense gameplay experience.

Squad Busters has experienced fluctuating popularity since its release. While it remains a fun and accessible MOBA-like game, it hasn't quite achieved the level of success Supercell initially hoped for. However, this latest update might just be the catalyst needed to rekindle interest among skeptical players.

Described as the most ambitious update to any Supercell game in over 15 years, the new Squad Busters update fundamentally changes its gameplay. The game now differentiates between Heroes and Squaddies, shifting away from a squad composed solely of units.

Heroes are now the centerpiece of your squad, each equipped with unique abilities and passives. Squaddies, on the other hand, serve a similar role to the original units and can be upgraded during matches. Although the game initially resonated with me, I found myself not returning to it frequently. The decision to focus on Heroes could change that, making the game more engaging.
