EA's highly anticipated Star Wars turn-based strategy game will make its debut at Star Wars Celebration 2025. Originally announced in early 2022, this untitled project comes from Bit Reactor - a studio founded by XCOM veterans who previously worked at Firaxis Games. The development team has been collaborating closely with Respawn Entertainment, known for the Star Wars Jedi series.
Developer Panel Scheduled
The first official reveal will occur during a live panel on April 19 featuring Bit Reactor's lead developers alongside representatives from Respawn Entertainment and Lucasfilm Games, as confirmed by the Star Wars Celebration 2025 schedule.

While details remain scarce regarding the game's setting or mechanics, the XCOM lineage of its developers strongly suggests deep tactical gameplay infused with Star Wars elements.
Meanwhile, Respawn continues development on the third installment of its Star Wars Jedi series, though its appearance at Celebration seems unlikely. The studio previously worked on an unannounced Mandalorian-focused FPS that was canceled during EA's recent restructuring, which affected approximately 670 employees. In March, Respawn also discontinued development on a multiplayer FPS prototype.
Other Star Wars Celebration highlights will include previews of The Mandalorian & Grogu feature film (slated for May 2026) and the upcoming Star Wars: Visions Volume 3 animated series.
