Stellar Blade will receive a full sequel, developer Shift Up has announced.
The PlayStation-published action title, released in April 2024, earned praise for blending gameplay elements reminiscent of NieR: Automata and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice.
Shift Up, based in South Korea, revealed plans for a Stellar Blade sequel through a chart outlining its future projects, shared in the company’s latest financial report published today.
A presentation slide detailing Shift Up’s franchise expansion strategy confirms the Stellar Blade sequel as the next major release, expected before 2027, alongside other projects.
Ahead of the sequel, Shift Up noted a “platform expansion” for Stellar Blade, likely referring to the game’s PC version, slated for release on June 11, 2025.
This timeframe, before 2027, will also see the debut of Shift Up’s enigmatic Project Witches, a new multiplatform action RPG yet to be fully unveiled.

Earlier this week, Shift Up disclosed ongoing discussions with Sony regarding a PC region lock issue affecting the game’s Steam store page in over 100 countries.
“Stellar Blade shines as a visually stunning and meticulously crafted action game, though it has notable flaws,” IGN stated in our review of the title.
“Its narrative and characters lack depth, and some RPG elements, like repetitive sidequests, often involve backtracking through familiar areas with little to make the journey feel fresh or engaging.
“However, its combat system, inspired by Sekiro, delivers robust mechanics, complemented by a variety of fearsome enemies and rewarding exploration incentives that encourage thorough discovery.”
