Monster Hunter Now's Season 4: A Frosty Adventure Awaits!
Niantic has unleashed Season 4 of Monster Hunter Now, transporting players to a breathtaking winter wonderland. Prepare for icy challenges and exciting new additions designed to keep the hunt thrilling, even with virtual frostbite!
What's New in Monster Hunter Now Season 4?
This season introduces a snowy tundra habitat, complete with biting winds, deep snowdrifts, and a host of formidable monsters. Making their debut are Lagombi, Volvidon, Somnacanth, and the fearsome Tigrex.
Returning favorites include Barioth, along with smaller monsters like Wulg and Cortos. Tigrex will be a key opponent in Hunt-a-thons and may even surprise you in the field. Unlock these creatures by completing urgent quests within Season 4's story chapters. Access to the tundra itself is granted upon completion of the prologue.
A powerful new weapon joins the arsenal: the Switch Axe! This versatile weapon seamlessly transitions between Axe Mode for powerful, sweeping attacks and Sword Mode for frenzied close-quarters combat. Unlock the Switch Gauge by finishing the pre-season story in Chapter 2.
Season 4 also introduces customizable Palico companions! These helpful allies aid in material gathering and monster scouting. Personalize their fur color, facial features, and even give them a unique name. AR functionality lets you take your Palico into the real world for memorable photos.
Adding a social element, Friend Cheering allows you to support your friends with temporary health boosts. While beneficial, there's a limit to the amount of health you can gain from cheers.
