After months of anticipation and speculation, Activision has finally released the debut trailer for the highly anticipated remake of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4. Developed by Iron Galaxy, who have taken the reins from Vicarious Visions—the creators of THPS 1+2—this new version promises to thrill fans with enhanced graphics, the introduction of online multiplayer, and the addition of exciting new playable characters such as Rayssa Leal, Nyjah Huston, and Yuto Horigome. The trailer offers a captivating glimpse into reimagined iconic locations including Airport, Tokyo, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, all brought to life with cutting-edge technology. Viewers can also see a side-by-side comparison of the graphics, showcasing the significant leap from the original to the new version.
The game will feature legendary skaters like Tony Hawk, Bucky Lasek, and Rodney Mullen, but it appears that Bam Margera will not be making a return. Those opting for the Digital Deluxe edition will be treated to exclusive characters such as Doom Slayer and Revenant, enhancing the gameplay experience. Adding to the nostalgic feel, the developers have committed to reviving part of the original soundtrack, including tracks by Motorhead, Gang Starr, and CKY, ensuring fans get a dose of the classic vibe alongside the modern enhancements.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 is set to launch on July 11 across multiple platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox Series, and PC. Pre-order benefits include access to a demo in June and early access to the full game three days prior to the official release date, allowing eager fans to dive into the action ahead of the curve.
