Japanese developer Furyu Corporation has released Trinity Trigger, an action RPG, on Android. Initially launched on consoles and PC with Xseed Games handling Western publishing, the mobile version is now self-published by Furyu.
What’s the Plot of Trinity Trigger?
You play as Cyan, a young hero destined to confront the Warrior of Order as the chosen Warrior of Chaos. Journeying across Trinitia, Cyan teams up with Elise and Zantis.
These allies fight alongside him, supported by Triggers—beast-like companions that morph into eight weapon types. You can switch characters mid-battle to adapt your tactics on the fly.
The narrative embraces classic JRPG themes: fate, lost memories, and a world on the brink of collapse. Expect familiar gameplay with towns, NPC interactions, and dungeon crawling.
Trinity Trigger’s dungeons, formed from the ruins of divine weapons called Arma, are packed with puzzles, hidden secrets, and foes. Environments span snowy plains to arid deserts.
How Does Combat Work?
Combat centers on the Weapon Wheel, letting you swap weapons swiftly to target enemy vulnerabilities. You can also enhance gear using materials gathered during exploration.
The game features fully voiced dialogue and polished cutscenes that elevate the story with vibrant visuals. Each of the three playable characters wields nine weapons and unique skills.
Interested? It’s available on the Google Play Store for $19.99—a premium price, admittedly.
