Marvel Rivals kicked off its Competitive Play with Season 0 - Dooms' Rise, opening the doors to skill-based matchmaking for players who have reached level 10. Starting from Bronze, players can climb the ranks by choosing from a diverse roster of over thirty characters spread across three roles: Strategist, Duelist, and Vanguard. Each victory in Competitive Play not only brings you closer to the next rank but also earns you points to progress through the divisions.
As you ascend the ranks during a Competitive Season, you'll unlock seasonal rewards automatically. These rewards can range from cosmetic skins for specific characters to Crests of Honor—stylish emblems that you can display on your profile to showcase your highest achieved ranks. In Season 1 - Eternal Night Falls, one of the standout rewards is the Blood Shield skin for the newly introduced Strategist, Invisible Woman.
How to Get Invisible Woman's Blood Shield Skin For Free in Marvel Rivals
Season 1 - Eternal Night Falls brought significant updates to Marvel Rivals, including enhancements to the Competitive Play feature. A new rank, Celestial, was introduced between Grandmaster and Eternity, offering three tiers to conquer, similar to the existing ranks. Beyond hero adjustments and patch notes, the season also introduced new seasonal rewards, such as S2 Crest variants for players reaching Grandmaster and above, and the coveted Blood Shield skin for Invisible Woman.
To claim the Blood Shield skin for Invisible Woman, you need to reach at least Gold III during the competitive season. Importantly, your rewards are based on your peak rank, not your final standing at the end of the season. So, if you reach Gold III and then drop back down, you're still eligible for the skin. However, you won't see the Blood Shield skin in your Invisible Woman's cosmetics gallery until the start of Marvel Rivals Season 3, as seasonal rewards are distributed after the conclusion of a Competitive Season and the beginning of the next.
