Fans of the immersive world of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 will have to wait a bit longer, as the game has been pushed back to a new release window in October 2025. This latest delay was announced on the game's official Twitter (X) account on March 26, accompanied by a video update from the development team.
Paradox Focusing on Bug Fixing, Stability, and Performance
In the video, Bloodlines 2 Executive Producer Marco Behrmann shared that the game's core development is complete. The team is now dedicating their efforts to "bug fixing, stability, and performance" to ensure that players get the best possible experience upon release. This focus on quality underscores Paradox's commitment to delivering a polished product.
Over the past few months, Paradox has been engaging the community through Dev Diaries, offering insights into the game's characters, stories, and mechanics. However, to prioritize the final stages of development, all future Dev Diaries will be paused. This strategic move aims to elevate the overall quality of the game before its launch.
First Revealed in 2019
Originally unveiled in March 2019, Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 was initially set to launch in March 2020, developed by Hardsuit Labs. However, the game faced its first delay to an unspecified date in 2020, followed by another pushback to 2021. During this tumultuous period, several key team members departed the project.
In February 2021, a significant shift occurred when Paradox Interactive announced that Hardsuit Labs would no longer be involved, and development would be handed over to The Chinese Room. Since then, the game's release has been rescheduled multiple times—from late 2024 to the first half of 2025, and now to October 2025.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 is slated to launch on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. For the latest updates and more in-depth information about the game, be sure to check out our detailed article below!
