Players can now collect and upgrade various spells in Plunderstorm. Aura of Zealotry enhances movement speed for the player and their team, and allows casting Consecrate to damage enemies and buff allies. Celestial Barrage, on the other hand, is a potent line attack that can be charged for greater range. For utility, Call Galefeather summons an eagle to knock back foes, and Void Tear provides a strategic teleportation option that damages and slows enemies. Additionally, cooldowns for several existing spells have been adjusted, and a new UI facilitates ability swaps and pickups, keeping gameplay fresh and engaging.
A new Plunderstorm Practice Lobby is available, where players can experiment with abilities, adjust keybindings and transmogs, and socialize. From here, you can queue for matches or visit the Plunderstore to acquire rewards. The Plunderstore and game mode access are also available from the login screen and within retail World of Warcraft via the PvP interface.
Curiously, the three-person Trios mode is absent from this iteration of Plunderstorm. It's unclear why Blizzard chose to omit this mode, but fans hope it will return before Plunderstorm sets sail once more.
