In 2022, Innersloth transformed the Among Us experience with the launch of a virtual reality version, which received widespread praise. Now, they're pushing the boundaries further with the announcement of Among Us 3D. This new iteration will bring the classic gameplay into a fully immersive first-person perspective, accessible on standard gaming setups without the need for a VR headset.
Players can look forward to the familiar mechanics they adore, but reimagined for traditional gaming platforms. A teaser trailer has given fans a sneak peek at how tasks, meetings, and sabotage will be experienced from the character's viewpoint. Excitingly, enthusiasts will have the opportunity to dive into this new mode during Steam's upcoming "Game On" festival, where a free demo will be available for testing.
Although an official release date hasn't been set, Among Us 3D is slated to launch first on PC. It will be optimized for keyboard and mouse controls, featuring an updated interface to improve accessibility. Cross-play capabilities will enable Among Us 3D players to join forces with those on Among Us VR, though the original Among Us will continue to operate separately.
To enhance the player experience even further, Innersloth is introducing a new in-game currency called Stardust in the coming months. This addition will broaden customization options, allowing players to personalize their avatars and participate in the game's continuous development.
