Apex Legends Announces First Offline Tournament in Asia
Apex ALGS Year 4 Championships: Sapporo, Japan – January 29th to February 2nd, 2025
Get ready for intense competition! The Apex Legends Global Series Year 4 Championships will be held in Sapporo, Japan, at the Daiwa House PREMIST DOME from January 29th to February 2nd, 2025. Forty elite teams will clash to claim the championship title in this prestigious esports tournament.This marks a significant milestone: the first-ever ALGS offline tournament in Asia! Previous tournaments have been held in the US, UK, Sweden, and Germany. "This year will be extra special as we are having our first LAN event in APAC," EA announced.
EA senior director of Esports, John Nelson, added, "ALGS has a very large community in Japan, and we have seen many comments calling for an offline event in Japan. That's why we couldn't be more pleased to celebrate this milestone with an offline tournament held at the iconic Daiwa House Premist Dome."
Tournament details and ticketing information will be revealed at a later date. Sapporo Mayor Katsuhiro Akimoto expressed enthusiasm, stating, "We are extremely honored that the Daiwa House Premist Dome has been selected as the venue for this global e-sports tournament. The entire city of Sapporo will be supporting your tournament and we would like to wholeheartedly welcome all the athletes, officials and fans."
Before the main event, don't miss the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ)! Taking place from September 13th to 15th, 2024, the LCQ offers teams a final shot at qualifying for the championships.
