ARK: Survival Ascended's Extended Content Roadmap Unveiled
Studio Wildcard has released an updated roadmap for ARK: Survival Ascended, detailing content updates extending into late 2026. This Unreal Engine 5 remaster of ARK: Survival Evolved, initially released in early access in November 2023, will receive a significant boost with the upcoming UE5.5 update in March 2025. This update promises substantial performance improvements and the return of Nvidia's frame generation technology. It will also pave the way for individual DLC map downloads, reducing the overall game size.
The roadmap highlights a steady stream of new content:
2025:
- March: Unreal Engine 5.5 upgrade.
- April: Free Ragnarok Ascended map, Bison (free creature), and a Fantastic Tame.
- June: A new premium map (details to be announced).
- August: Free Valguero Ascended map, a community-voted free creature, and a Fantastic Tame.
2026:
- April: Free Genesis Ascended Part 1 and Bob's True Tales Part 1.
- August: Free Genesis Ascended Part 2 and Bob's True Tales Part 2.
- December: Free Fjordur Ascended map and a community-voted free creature.
- Throughout the year: Three additional Fantastic Tames.
This ambitious plan includes the free addition of several remastered maps (Ragnarok, Valguero, Genesis Parts 1 & 2, and Fjordur), alongside paid DLC in the form of a new premium map. Community involvement is also emphasized, with players voting on several free creatures to be included. The roadmap also incorporates previously announced content from Bob's True Tales, integrated throughout the year. While the roadmap provides a high-level overview, Studio Wildcard hints at potential additional surprises in the coming years.
