Previously, Dumont had compared Shadows to earlier titles such as Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla. However, given the significant variance in length among these games, such comparisons were less helpful. Recognizing the challenges in measuring open-world experiences, Dumont clarified that Shadows aligns more closely with the scope of Origins.
