Set against the backdrop of Japan's tumultuous Sengoku period, players can embody two protagonists: Naoe, a skilled ninja master, and Yasuke, a legendary African samurai.

The game boasts an expansive open world brimming with political intrigue, warfare, and espionage missions. Combat sequences are notably brutal, featuring realistic blood effects as players engage with traditional Japanese weapons like katanas, kanabō, and spears.
