This exciting update was revealed by skateboarding media expert Roger Bagley during an exclusive members-only livestream on The Nine Club skateboarding podcast, as reported by Video Games Chronicle.
Bagley disclosed that the game was already finalized when Tony Hawk personally reached out to Activision, insisting on Margera's inclusion. Despite being initially told it wasn't feasible, Hawk's determination prevailed, showcasing his commitment to ensuring Margera's return to the game.IGN has reached out to Activision for an official statement on this development.
Margera, known for his professional skateboarding career and his role in the Jackass franchise, has faced significant public challenges with alcohol and substance abuse, undergoing multiple rehab treatments. Additionally, Margera was dismissed from the upcoming Jackass Forever and was involved in a legal issue where a restraining order was granted against him by Jackass director Jeff Tremaine following alleged threats to Tremaine and his family.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, which was announced earlier this month, is set to launch on July 11, 2025, and will be available on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Developed by Iron Galaxy, this project marks a triumphant return after being on the brink of cancellation following the merger of previous series developer Vicarious Visions with Blizzard.
