The highly anticipated Godzilla skin, slated for Fortnite's January 17th release, has had its details prematurely revealed through online leaks. Epic Games recently deployed an update containing the game files for this Monsterverse collaboration, allowing dataminers to uncover the specifics.
Beyond the standard Godzilla skin obtainable via the battle pass, players can acquire a bundle featuring Mechagodzilla and Kong from the in-game store. This bundle boasts unique jetpacks and pickaxes designed to complement both skins.
A new boss event will launch concurrently on January 17th. One player will transform into a colossal Godzilla, wielding atomic breath and other signature abilities. Players must collaborate to defeat this behemoth, with the individual inflicting the most damage earning a medallion granting a unique power.
The Mechagodzilla and Kong bundle will be available at the usual time in the Fortnite store, priced as follows:
- Kong: 1500 V-bucks
- Mechagodzilla: 1800 V-bucks
- Two pickaxes: 800 V-bucks each
- One emote: 400 V-bucks
- Two wraps: 500 V-bucks each
- Complete bundle: 2800 V-bucks
In other exciting news, Fortnite's roster of guest appearances continues to expand. Hints suggest the arrival of the popular vocaloid, Hatsune Miku. Social media interactions between Hatsune Miku's official account (reporting a missing backpack) and the Fortnite Festival account (confirming possession of the backpack) have fueled speculation.
Beyond a standard Vocaloid skin, the collaboration may include a stylized pickaxe and a "Miku the Catgirl" skin variant, along with a virtual Hatsune Miku concert.
