Michelle Trachtenberg, the actress known for her roles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Gossip Girl, has died at the age of 39. The Post reported the news, stating that police sources do not suspect foul play.
ABC News reported that Trachtenberg's mother discovered her deceased in her New York City apartment near Columbus Circle on Wednesday. Reports suggest she may have been experiencing complications following a recent liver transplant.

Trachtenberg's career began at age nine with a role in the 1990s Nickelodeon series The Adventures of Pete and Pete. Her film debut followed in 1996's Harriet the Spy. She achieved widespread recognition for her portrayal of Dawn Summers in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (2000-2003), and later starred in films such as EuroTrip (2004) and Ice Princess (2005).
