Initiating the "Canker" Quest:
Speak to Gules in Semine. This is easily done during Lord Semine and Agnes' wedding, while he's drinking. Alternatively, find him on patrol. Mention his former bandit gang and offer your assistance in eliminating them. Canker is your first target.
Locating and Eliminating Canker:
The quest marker will appear on your map, north of Nebakov Mill. Be prepared for potential ambushes along the way. Stealth, combat, or fleeing are all options. Canker's camp is nestled in the mountains, easily missed due to a narrow passage. Engage in combat as needed; several bandits accompany Canker. Some may flee, but ensure you eliminate most, including Canker himself.
Quest Completion:
After defeating Canker and the bandits, loot Canker's body, specifically retrieving the Light Mace. Return to Gules to complete the quest.
A full in-game day must pass before the next quest in this chain, "Handsome Charlie," becomes available. Speak with Gules again after the day is over to proceed.
