Confirmed: Marvel Rivals will be getting 2 heroes every 3 months

NetEase Games is committed to keeping Marvel Rivals fresh with regular updates. The plan is to release updates approximately every six weeks, introducing two new heroes each quarter. This ensures a constant stream of new content to engage players.

Game director Guangyun Chen explained that each season's update is divided into two parts: one new hero in the first half, and another in the second. This approach maintains player interest and excitement. Beyond new heroes, updates will include new maps, storylines, and objectives.

Several characters have already been revealed, including the upcoming Blade and Altron (previously leaked), along with the confirmed addition of the entire Fantastic Four.

According to GameLook, a Chinese publication, Marvel Rivals generated approximately $100 million globally, with a significant portion from the Chinese market. This marks a substantial move for Marvel, a film industry giant, into the competitive gaming arena.

Marvel Rivals successfully filled a void in the hero-shooter genre, following the less-than-stellar reception of Square Enix's Avengers game. NetEase delivered a high-quality title featuring a compelling roster of characters, earning positive reviews upon its release.
