Deltarune's Console Testing Progressing Smoothly
Save Transfers from Chapters 1 & 2

Toby Fox, via his Bluesky account, shared that console testing is underway. While much work remains, progress is positive. He noted fewer bugs but a substantial amount of testing ahead, even stating that PlayStation 5 testing hasn't begun yet. Beyond bug fixes, the team is working on a crucial feature: carrying over saves from the Chapters 1 and 2 demo to the full release of Chapters 3 and 4. This functionality, recently made possible by new technology, is a high priority. Fox expressed optimism about its success. With beta testing proceeding well, a release date may be imminent. Chapters 3 and 4 are slated for release sometime in 2025.
Introducing Tenna: A New Character Revealed

Amidst the development, Fox shared amusing anecdotes. He described a minigame he's working on, jokingly referring to it as a "cry for help" due to the game's delayed release. While his family found it positive, a friend's reaction was less sympathetic.

This minigame's purpose is currently unknown, sparking speculation that it might be intended for Chapter 5, given Fox's previous statement that Chapters 3 and 4 are content-complete. Deltarune is planned to have seven chapters in total.
Further fueling fan excitement, Fox mentioned a friend’s nostalgic comment about a character named Tenna. This previously unannounced character, first glimpsed during the Spamton Sweepstakes in September 2022, is now confirmed to appear in Chapter 3.

Deltarune, the spiritual successor to Undertale, retains many familiar mechanics while introducing a new narrative and cast. Players will once again join Kris, Susie, and Ralsei on a world-saving adventure.
