Vote for Your Favorite Merchandise Until March 21, 2025

Like a Dragon (LAD) reaches its 20th anniversary in December 2025. To mark this milestone, RGG Studios has launched a fan vote to determine which in-game items will be transformed into real-world merchandise.

One hundred items are up for grabs, including a diverse range of options: lingerie, incense, mahjong tiles, a karaoke microphone, a luxury lighter, 20th-anniversary sake, themed pillows, Kiryu's dragon mask, and many more iconic pieces from the series' history. The winning item, as stated on the RGG voting website, is guaranteed to be produced and released within the next two years.

The voting period runs from February 8, 2025, to March 21, 2025, with one vote allowed per day. Following the voting phase, a separate survey will determine the final design of the winning merchandise.

Potential for More Yakuza Remakes on the Horizon?

RGG Studio initially hinted at their 20th-anniversary plans in a December 8, 2024, Twitter (X) post during their 19th-anniversary celebrations. Director and Executive Producer Masayoshi Yokoyama expressed gratitude to fans and outlined plans for various events and announcements leading up to the 20th anniversary, including the merchandise voting project.

While the initial video announcement promised further events, no additional details have been revealed yet. However, given the precedent set by their 10th anniversary—which saw the announcement and release of Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami remakes—fans remain optimistic about more exciting reveals to come.

System Requirements Easily Met by Modern Gaming PCs

RGG Studio announced the PC requirements for LAD: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii on February 10, 2025, via Twitter (X). The recommended graphics card, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or equivalent, ensures compatibility with most modern gaming systems.

Considering the game's release on older-generation consoles (PlayStation 4 and Xbox One), the PC specifications are relatively undemanding. RGG Studios has also confirmed Steam Deck verification.

SEGA recently released a story trailer on YouTube, showcasing Majima's high-seas adventure narrated by Pirate King Raymond Law, voiced by wrestling star Samoa Joe.
