Relic Entertainment, the studio behind Company of Heroes, is venturing into new territory with Earth vs. Mars, a smaller-scale, turn-based strategy game slated for a PC (Steam) release this summer. Prepare for an interplanetary showdown as you defend Earth from a Martian invasion by creating bizarre and powerful creature-human hybrids using the Splice-O-Tron. Imagine commanding a Squirrel-Cow or a Human-Rhino against the alien hordes! The gameplay draws inspiration from the classic Nintendo DS title, Advance Wars.
For decades, Martians have secretly visited Earth, abducting humans and animals to harvest their atomic essence. Now, their full-scale invasion is upon us, and a ragtag group of commanders must lead Earth's resistance. Players will command Earth's military forces against advanced Martian saucers, grav-tanks, and elite alien warriors in a desperate fight for survival.

Earth vs. Mars boasts a 30+ mission single-player campaign, online multiplayer (playable as either Earth or Mars), a VS Mode for challenging the AI, and a map editor for endless replayability.
"We're thrilled to put a Relic spin on the Advance Wars style of gameplay," says Relic CEO Justin Dowdeswell. "This project lets us infuse our signature style while revisiting elements from our earlier titles. Relic Entertainment recently adopted a new strategy: alongside our traditional RTS games, we'll be developing smaller, indie-style games to explore new genres, experiment creatively, and release games more frequently."
