FromSoftware describes the network test as a crucial "preliminary verification test" involving selected players experiencing a portion of the game before its official launch. This large-scale test will help assess the online systems' capabilities and server performance under heavy load.

The Elden Ring: Nightreign Network Test will run from February 14th to 16th, 2025, offering five 3-hour long sessions:

  • Session 1: February 14th, 3 AM - 6 AM PT
  • Session 2: February 14th, 7 PM - 10 PM PT
  • Session 3: February 15th, 11 AM - 2 PM PT
  • Session 4: February 16th, 3 AM - 6 AM PT
  • Session 5: February 16th, 7 PM - 10 PM PT

Beware: Scammers and Scalpers Emerge

Reports indicate a concerning scam circulating on Steam. Players are receiving fraudulent invitations for the Elden Ring: Nightreign Network Test. These malicious links redirect users to suspicious websites, potentially leading to account hacking and unwanted mass messaging of their friend lists. FromSoftware emphasizes that official communication regarding the test is only disseminated through their website and social media channels. Any links originating elsewhere should be treated with extreme caution.

Adding to the issue, scalpers are already attempting to capitalize on the hype. Despite codes not being available until February 11th, listings for "confirmed test codes" are appearing on various online marketplaces, with exorbitant prices ranging from $150 to $200, and some even being auctioned off.

Elden Ring: Nightreign, initially announced during the Game Awards 2024, is slated for release in 2025 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. While a precise release date remains unannounced, stay tuned to our Elden Ring: Nightreign page for the latest updates.
