If you're a Genshin Impact enthusiast playing on Android, you're in for a treat. The long-awaited controller support is finally making its way to your devices with the upcoming Version 5.5 update. Yes, you read that right! Android users, who have been patiently waiting since iOS players received this feature in 2021, can now look forward to a more immersive gaming experience.
When Will Genshin Impact Get Controller Support on Android?
Mark your calendars for March 26th, 2025. On this date, you'll be able to seamlessly connect your Android device to a controller and dive into the world of Genshin Impact, free from the constraints of touchscreen controls. The update will officially support four popular controllers: the DualShock 4, DualSense, Xbox Wireless Controller, and the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2. Keep in mind, all of these require Bluetooth connectivity.
But that's not all Version 5.5 has in store. Alongside controller support, you'll enjoy various quality-of-life improvements. One such enhancement is the cross-scene quest tracking feature, which allows you to seamlessly track your quests across different areas. Just open the map and teleport directly to your desired destination, making your adventure smoother and more efficient.
New players will benefit from updated boss guides, designed to help you better understand enemy mechanics. Additionally, the Artifact system, Serenitea Pot, and Mail system are all slated for optimizations. While we await the full details, these will be unveiled during the Special Program Announcement on March 14th.
