Shuyu’s Baffling Beetle Battle Bowl: Event Requirements

To participate, you'll need:

• Adventure Rank 20 or higher.
• Completion of the Mondstadt Archon Quest Prologue. While not strictly required, completing Xianyun's Story Quest, "Grus Serena Chapter," adds context and introduces Shuyu.

Gameplay: Mastering the Beetle Brawl

This event is all about beetle battles! You'll control an Onikabuto beetle in a simulated battle within the Teapot at Mt. Aocang, facing off against familiar Genshin Impact enemies. The controls are simple: Forward, Backward, and Jump. Mastering timing and stamina management is key, as your beetle consumes stamina with each movement, especially during longer dashes or powerful Piercing Strikes (activated by holding the attack button).

Here's a breakdown of each of the five battles:

• Stage 1: Staff Master Who Only Uses Basic Horizontal Sweeps: A straightforward Hilichurl. Focus on headshots and watch for ground indicators to dodge attacks.
• Stage 2: Staff Master Who Waves a Torch About Non-Stop: A Hilichurl Berserker with a Pyro Slime. Target the Berserker's head and exploit the Slime's vulnerability, particularly when it's preparing to throw it.
• Stage 3: Mumbly-Bumbly Red-Hot Mage: A Pyro Abyss Mage. Interrupt its attacks to deal significant damage. Dodge its fireballs and flame pillars.
• Stage 4: Bouncy, Energetic Mage Who’s Actually Freezing Cold: A Cryo Abyss Mage. Use the same strategy as the Pyro Abyss Mage.
• Stage 5: Big Guy Said to be Solid as a Mini Mountain: A Stonehide Lawachurl. Be aggressive, dodge its attacks, and target the Geo Slime that appears for extra damage using a Piercing Strike.

Strategies and Tips

We recommend tackling the event on "Focused Fight" (two-star) difficulty. This offers a balance of challenge and reward, granting Primogems upon completion. "Utmost Might" (three-star) unlocks after completing "Focused Fight," but offers Mora and Enhancement Ores instead of Primogems. Utilize Piercing Strikes strategically for maximum damage. The "Dossier on Opponent" feature provides helpful tips for each enemy. Co-op mode is available; use the "Match" option to team up with other players.
