Changing Appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds (Hunter and Palico)

Monster Hunter Wilds offers an in-depth character creator, enabling you to craft an avatar that can closely resemble your real-life self. If you decide you want to tweak your character's look mid-game, you're in luck. Once you've unlocked the base camp, make your way to your tent and access the Appearance Menu by pressing L1 or R1. Select the "Change Appearance" option to dive back into the character creator and adjust the appearance of both your Hunter and Palico.

How to Change Outfits and Use Layered Armor

The Layered Armor feature is available right from the start of Monster Hunter Wilds. Head to your tent, navigate to the Appearance Menu, and select "Equipment Appearance." This allows you to customize your Hunter's outfit using the Layered Armor items you've unlocked. Note that you can't use this feature to transmog your current armor into other types you've crafted in the game.

Similarly, you can customize your Palico's appearance by choosing "Palico Equipment Appearance" and applying Layered Armor items.

If the Layered Armor options don't meet your style, the only other way to change your outfit is by forging and equipping new armor. Keep in mind that each piece of equipment has different stats, so you'll need to balance fashion with functionality.

Seikret Customization

Lastly, don't forget about Seikret Customization, found in the Appearance Menu. Here, you can alter your Seikret's skin and feather color, as well as tweak its pattern, decoration type, and eye color.

And that's the complete guide on how to change your outfits and appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds. For more tips and in-depth information on the game, be sure to visit The Escapist.
